St. Olave's Youth Group

We're a group of St. Olave's teens that get together two or three times a month to have fun together, do stuff for our Church and community, and take care of our spiritual lives and each other.

Every second Sunday we get together after church to eat pizza and talk about stuff like:

• Anime (Japanese cartoons)
• Drugs, drinking and demons
• Christian pick-up lines like "I seem to have lost my bible---can I borrow yours?" or "I've got the Holy Spirit---want some?"
• Boys and girls
• Sports
• Avril Lavigne

We also go on trips like:

• St. Michael's youth camp and reunion
• Chinatown
• Niagara Falls
• Mousetrap (a play one of our group was in)
• CNE

And we do stuff for our Church:

• Help with the Nursery
• Read lessons in the church services
• Clean up after the Rummage Sale
• Give Henna tattoos at the Christmas market to raise money
• Hold car washes

We also like to help the community by:

• Participating in the Cancer Society Relay for Life
• Going out on the Hunger Patrol
• Doing the 24-hour fast
• Running a BBQ to raise funds for New Orleans disaster relief

And we take care of our spiritual lives by:

• Learning about spiritual meditation
• Going to Church
• Praying
• Learning about God
